Personalized Levels

Each and every student coming to our study programs is given a comprehensive Chinese language placement test to ensure that they are placed in the proper level. Immersive Environment

The Langston Language facilities were built to create an environment where students are able to practice their Chinese in real life, everyday settings. Unique Class Design

While most Chinese Language study programs in China focus on preparing you for the HSK, a Chinese language test, Langston focuses on teaching you how to use Simplified Mandarin Chinese in real life situations. Small Class Sizes

An average Langston Chinese class has about five students, with a maximum of eight per class. Our classes are small enough that you will have a lot of personal attention from the teacher, but large enough that you will be able to enjoy practicing with your classmates in our group activities. Specialized Curriculum

At Langston we use only Mandarin Chinese learning textbooks that were designed specifically for westerners. Not only do we use unique textbooks, but our listening, discussion, culture, activity, and video classes all use materials that you won’t find in other similar university programs. As a student studying Chinese at Langston you will have many opportunities to join in our free cultural activities. You will have the opportunity to study traditional wushu from a kung-fu master, try your hand at traditional Chinese calligraphy, take tours of Shenyang’s ancient attractions, and much more, all on a weekly basis!
